The Professor eased her chair backwards, half smiling at the students before her. She raised her hands in a welcome gesture, "Welcome to Hogwarts those newcomers", she paused peering at some of the newly seated first years around each table, "We meet again those to the older students", she said with a slight flicker of a smile..."There are time for speeches, right now is not one of those times...let the feast begin!".

After washing her hands furiously for over ten minutes straight, Juliette silently pushed open the front oak doors with a handkerchief, protecting her hand from splinters. She was late already and had to cross the hall discretely while the sorting was still in process. Finally she tooka seat next to the Ancient Runes professor with a small smile and a little wave. Her immediate reaction was to straighten her sthingy so it'd be parallel with her fork, checking both her neighbors' and arranging them.
When the sorting was finished and the food appeared she realized just how famished she was having missed lunch that day because of work. She'd stayed fixing her bookshelves longer than needed, but it was just her. Juliette picked up her knife and her fork and clashed them together gently three times begore digging in her plate.
